Getting Started
Tienes cuatro días en México--all expenses paid by your employer as a bonus for buen trabajo!
But... each of the employees need to go to a different state.  You'll need to chose which one and design an exciting tour for yourself.

Actividades

Día 1
Take a preview quiz on Mexico's states and famous spots.
Pick your state to travel to.  Lista de los estados mexicanos
Mapa de México.  Sign up quickly for that state with the teacher.
Find out its terrain, weather, and interesting places.  Decide on one place/activity for each of your four days.

Día 2
Design a Powerpoint presentation of  a title slide and a slide for each of the four activities/places.

Sample slide
Besides a photo or graphic, write a simple sentence in Spanish on each slide. Modelo:
When you present to the class, add another interesting idea to say to the class.  Modelo:  "Queremos estudiar el calendario azteca."
Besides seeing the touristy spots, you might want to pick simple activities as well.  It's interesting to
Even tiny villages have great charm.

An optional activity is to design a travel brochure for your state, with clear titles, at least four photos or graphics, each with a Spanish sentence about the activities, and a photo of a person enjoying their vacation in your state.   Modelo:

Día 3  Get ready!  Considering the terrain, the weather,
and the places you choose to visit, decide what you must pack.  Write a chart for yourself in Spanish (on an excel spreadsheet is best)  with what the weather and the places require that you pack.
Write a paragraph about your findings.
Rubric para el párrafo

Día 4
You're on your trip!  Write the class a card in Spanish telling us what you're doing and how you're feeling.

Modelo:  "¡Hola, clase!

For your sixth slide in PowerPoint, be ready to have your digital picture taken (with props you may bring) to show us a photo of you "there in México."   The text of this final slide might me like:
10 mayo 2001"

DÍa 5
Try to convince your partner or small group to visit the state you chose.  Tell  the highlights of your state and the fascinating activities available.  "En Colima hay.....    Puedes (+ infinitivo)....  Es interesante..."
Ask your partner(s) at least one question about their state(s)  "Cómo es la playa de Puerto Escondido?"
Take notes, mental and written, about the state(s) you hear about.

(See Día 2 for specifics)
After 2 minutes, the grua will drag you away!

Día 7
Take a post-quiz on the states of México.
