          Mean, Median, & Mode
A-Rod Nomar Jeter Are you ready to hit a home run?  Batter Up!
Welcome
You are about to learn about mean, median, and mode in a radical new way.  Picture yourself sitting in your classroom, opening your math book, and listening to your teacher explain some new math concept.  Now, imagine yourself using the computer to race around the internet and find all sorts of information about professional baseball players.  Well, imagine no longer because you are about to embark on an amazing journey with Alex Rodriguez, Nomar Garciaparra, and Derek Jeter.

Your Mission
Baseball stars will help you learn about mean, median, and mode.  This website will help you follow links to the statistics of different professional baseball players.  At the end of the lesson, you will be able to determine whether Pedro Martinez, Randy Johnson, or Greg Maddux averages more wins per year.  You will learn how to calculate how many home runs Mark McGwire and Sammy Sosa have averaged in the last five years.  Your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to allow these professional baseball players to help you understand the concepts of mean, median, and mode.
