Home School Introduction
Evergreen Home School is a homeschool program is a subsidiary of a small school district in Northern California. Our homeschool curriculum is organized and planned by a credentialed teacher, and taught at home by families. This program gives families State Standards based lessons and guidance from an experienced teacher while allowing the flexibility and idividuality of education. KINDERGARTEN 1st Grade is a year of growth and independence because your student will be reading: blending sounds to make words, distinguishing short and long vowel sounds, recognizing the first 100 high frequency words. They will write sentences, solve math problems, count money, tell time, and experience holidays and other cultures, as well as being active in Scientific exploration. 2nd GRADE
County history excites the year for your 3rd Grader, studying Native Americans, Early Settlers, natural features (earth materials, ecosystems), and more. They will be reading and writing multi-syllabic words, enjoying many types of literature and prose, and writing stories and papers with more advanced style (topic sentences, detail, punctuation). Multiplication and division facts become a part of the math program so that your student can solve the more advanced problems that come their way. 4th GRADE 5th Graders broaden thier horizons, moving from California History to a study of the United States.
