Day 1
Take a pre-test about the elements of cultures.

Homework:

    1.  Study an informational sheet listing the elements of culture.
    2. Read Pages 16 -21 in your text book ANCIENT WORLD

Day 2
Classroom Activity

With a group of 4 or 5 students, choose one of the ancient civilizatons you wish to research.  Choose one from the following:
Mesopotamia, Ancient Egypt, Ancient China,Ancient India, Ancient Greece, Ancient Rome
Assign an element of culture to each person in your group. 

Homework 
Read the chapter from ANCIENT WORLD that covers your civilization.
 

Day 3 - 7
Classroom Activity
Today you will begin your research.  Find artificats for each element of culture that will explain your civilization. 
For each artifact you collect, 
       1.  Make a drawing or sample of it
       2.  Write a description of it
       3.  Explain what element of culture it represents
       4.  Arrange your artifacts into a museum display for a presentation to the class.
 

Final Presentation

Your group will present the artifacts in your museum display.
